Abstract :
Self-driving cars have the potential to significantly impact society in the coming years. It is expected that with the introduction of self-driving cars on the country's roads, the number of vehicle accidents will decrease significantly, road casualties will decrease, and subsequently, the costs of car insurance and the costs required for the healthcare sector will decrease. On the contrary, improper performance of self-driving cars can lead to irreparable damage. In this article, various aspects of liability and insurance of liability for self-driving cars are discussed and a set of operational solutions are proposed to determine and develop the framework of liability and insurance for self-driving cars. The results of this paper pave the way for the development of a unified regulatory framework at national and international levels that can help to create consistent standards for autonomous vehicle liability.
